Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC)
BRMC has the facilities, staff, and services of a big-city hospital combined with a personalized hometown touch. The Twin Lakes area hosts one of the most impressive health care systems in the nation. In fact, from 2001-2005, BRMC ranked in the top 10% nationwide for patient satisfaction. BRMC opened as Baxter General Hospital in 1963 as an acute care hospital with 39 beds and four physicians on staff. By 2006, the facility encompassed 500,000 sq. ft. of space and is the largest employer in Baxter County, with 1,300+ employees and 500+ volunteers in the Auxiliary.
BRMC specializes in six centers of excellence: cancer, cardiac, digestive diseases, surgery, vascular and women's health. BRMC has over 265 beds, more than 100 physicians on staff, and serves patients from a two-state, 14-county area. The MHCC is a charitable-based health care facility with a mission of providing health
care and spiritual support to those without health insurance. The first clinic was held in
